How it works

URL QR Code Generator

Turn a website link into a static QR code without a tracking redirect.

Include https:// or http://. No tracking redirect is added.

Inputs stay in this page’s memory. We do not upload or save them. Changing tools clears the form.

Choose a tool, enter your content and generate a QR code.

No account, expiry service or tracking redirect. Encoded links and network details must remain valid. Contact and email actions depend on the scanner.

How these QR codes work

Choose a tool, enter your content, then generate and download your code. All five tools generate static QR codes locally in your browser. JavaScript is required. No account or upload is needed.

A static code stores its content directly. We add no tracking redirect or expiry service. A linked website can disappear, a network password can change, and scanner apps differ in their support for contact and email actions. Always scan the downloaded code with your target device before printing or sharing.

Five tools, five useful workflows

  • Link: open an HTTP or HTTPS website, menu, document link or event page.
  • Text: display a short note, instructions or other text. Text is not encrypted.
  • Wi-Fi: connect to a guest network. The code contains readable credentials; anyone with the code can recover the password. WPA-family, legacy WEP and open networks are supported. Scanner compatibility varies.
  • Contact: encode a vCard 4.0 with a name and optional phone, email and organization. Import behavior depends on the scanner/contact app.
  • Email: open a mail composer with a recipient and optional subject/message. Scanning does not send the message automatically.

Export and limits

SVG is suitable for resizing and print; PNG is a raster image generated from the same code. Both retain a white background and a four-module quiet zone. Error correction is Medium. Do not crop the margin or cover the code. Longer content creates a denser symbol and may need larger physical dimensions.

Encoded content is limited to 1,200 UTF-8 bytes, including escaping and email URL encoding. Unicode text may use multiple bytes per character. Shorten content when the limit is exceeded.

Privacy

Website inputs and generated images stay in page memory until you clear, switch tools or leave the page. Downloads remain on your device. QR content is readable by anyone who has the image; a QR code does not encrypt it. Cloudflare may receive ordinary hosting request metadata.

REST and MCP are different processing paths: calling those interfaces sends supplied content to our server. They reuse the same validation and generator. Avoid sending confidential content through an interface you have not approved.
